39. Of Mice & Mice

I like the soft smoothness that can be brought to geometric shapes. I accomplished that (above) by rubbing out sharpness with a soft digital tool. Here are two mice to compare. Neither is better than another, it’s a matter of taste. Softness of edge (above) has its place and so does sharpness of edge (below).

Lately, I find I prefer a softer edge, since I’ve been doing sharp-edged creations for some time. However, If I had been doing a soft-edged style, instead, I’d probably prefer a hard-edged look as my new direction! Trying different things keeps you out of creative ruts. Now I’ll be exploring “soft” for a bit. I think that’s why I gave the sharper mouse (below) a soft background. It was done earlier, and I think it picked up on my yearning for less precision.
