At the left is an excerpt from the book:  Five small tricks when managing negative/positive space, using the visual relationship of Foreground and Background Interplay.


 

        When illustrations are limited to one subject, such as an apple, the creative principle of “variation on a theme” takes over.  Each concept becomes a visual problem to solve, which stretches the creative muscles.  Concepts are shown geometrically, as well as realistically.
